Amidst the climate crisis, global efforts must prioritize transitioning to sustainable and environmentally friendly energy sources. However, it is imperative to acknowledge the simultaneous occurrence of exploitation and slavery within this transition. Children, as the most vulnerable demographic, are disproportionately impacted by these exploitative practices. UNICEF is called upon to take decisive action to safeguard the rights of children amidst the transition to green energy, ensuring their protection and well-being are paramount.
